¿QUÉ ES TIERRAMIGO?
Tierramigo nació como un espacio para explorar, experimentar y compartir información sobre bioconstrucción. Con el paso del tiempo, se ha convertido en una escuela itinerante enfocada en traspasar conocimientos sobre construcción en tierra mediante programas de formaciones intensivas en diferentes contextos y lugares.
Se convirtió en una Academia Creativa, donde el proceso de aprendizaje es tan importante como la construcción. Es un espacio para la exploración, y nuestra principal inspiración e la arquitectura vernácula: cómo es que la humanidad construía hace mil años?
Hoy, Tierramigo es una comunidad internacional que organiza y ejecuta formaciones intensivas en proyectos reales. También es un estudio de arquitectura y diseño, y una oficina de consultoría.

Te comparto 10 ideas que están muy presentes en mi proceso de trabajar con la tierra:
No rushing but no stop.
Good humour and laughter are as important as the foundations of a house.
Creativity and independence are fundamental to freedom.
Curiosity explores all perspectives. Let us return to the curious and instinctive spirit of building with our hands, as we did when we were children. There are always new opportunities for learning, and curiosity can show us a new path.
Natural building does not compromise aesthetics: with good design and execution, it can be modern, elegant, and efficient. It is up to us to change that perspective.
Earth is the most inclusive material, and natural building is an ancient craft. Before picking up our tools, we must remember to set aside all arrogance and pride. Let us be simple and humble, like the earth itself.
The process is as important as the final product. Every project is different, and while the building is the central focus, it should be the journey and not the destination.
Mistakes are a fundamental part of the learning process: we must start the project assuming that we will make mistakes, big or small. We must be flexible and malleable like clay.
Earthen walls are not only built: they also build us. All the force applied to the earth with our hands returns with the same intensity.
Natural building is a revolutionary act. For this reason, we must be revolutionary in how we experiment, how we build, and how we teach.
QUIENES SOMOS
Nico Pimentel es un arquitecto, bioconstructor y educador chileno, fundador de Tierramigo.
También es co-fundador de PIWA, un estudio de diseño y arquitectura basado en Chile, enfocado en proyectos de vivienda y hospitalidad en entornos rurales, tomando el contexto como foco principal, utilizando materiales locales y técnicas de diseño solar pasivo.
Desde 2017, Nico explora técnicas de construcción con tierra y facilita talleres internacionales en diversos formatos: desde construcciones completas, y de mediana y corta duración, trabajando principalmente entre America Latina y Europa.
Es co-fundador de Jungla Peumayen, un proyecto de conservación en el sur de Chile, y Kalina, un espacio de fomento creativo ubicado en los bosques del sur de Chile, donde está desarrollando una Escuela de Verano.

fundador de Finger Guns Studio.
